My Project

My students always come to school excited and ready for learning, they are ready to sing, dance, move and get their learning on right from the moment they walk in our classroom door. In the morning you can even see some dragging their parent or guardian down the street because they just cant' wait to get to school!

All of this movement and excitement takes a lot of fuel to rev up their minds for learning and keep them going, that's why we need a snack break to re-vamp and re-energize for the day.

Little minds need to have a full belly to keep going a snack is always a winner. Some friends may have missed breakfast at school, or come in late so it's important to always have extra breakfast options available for those who need one. Snack time also brings in fun ways to talk about our families, meal times, and the ways in which our different cultures come together around food.

I also try to provide fuel to my amazing families and guardians by having a coffee station nearby in case they need to fuel up too. Our school is part of a community and we all need a little pick me up sometimes.
