Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator, I am passionate about watching my students grow, learn, and develop into confident individuals. Their excitement when grasping new concepts and the pride they take in their work make every day special. One of the most important ways I can support them is by creating a positive and structured classroom environment, and that’s where Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) comes in.

The resources I’m requesting—such as rewards, classroom tools, and fidgets —are essential for creating an atmosphere where positive behavior is recognized and reinforced.

For example, rewards like stickers and certificates will help motivate students by acknowledging their effort and achievements. These incentives encourage them to stay engaged and focused on their learning while also boosting their self-esteem. Additionally, the visual aids and organizational tools will help my students stay on track and understand classroom expectations, which is especially important for those who thrive with clear routines.

My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment where my students can succeed both academically and socially. The PBIS supplies will help promote positive behavior, self-regulation, and a growth mindset, which are all crucial skills for success in school and beyond.

What makes my students special is their resilience, creativity, and unique perspectives. Many of them face challenges both in and outside of school but come to class every day with a strong desire to learn. This project will provide them with the support they need to stay motivated, positive, and ready to succeed. With these resources, I am confident that my students will continue to grow and achieve their full potential.
