Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, many students face challenges that extend beyond academics. Hunger can be a significant barrier to learning, especially for children with emotional disabilities and trauma. By providing healthy snacks, we can ensure our students have the energy and focus needed to participate fully in their academic and social-emotional activities. These snacks will help students stay engaged, reduce stress, and promote a positive learning environment. With your help, we can nourish both minds and bodies, giving our students the tools they need to succeed throughout the school day.

Our classroom is home to students who thrive with the help of sensory supports.

Many of our students experience emotional disabilities, trauma, and chronic stress, and sensory tools are essential in helping them regulate their emotions and stay focused on their learning. With the right supplies—such as weighted blankets, fidget toys, sensory mats, and noise-canceling headphones—we can create a calming environment that promotes emotional regulation, reduces anxiety, and enhances focus. Your donation will help us provide the sensory tools our students need to feel safe and supported in their academic journey.
