My Project

Imagine a classroom buzzing with excitement as students dive into books, share their ideas, and debate their favorite characters—welcome to our 4th-grade book groups! Since starting book groups in December, I have watched my students grow as readers and thinkers while discovering the magic of getting lost in a good book. It is every teacher’s dream to see kids not just reading because they have to, but because they want to. Through these groups, my students have explored different genres, applied their ELA skills to real stories, and—best of all—built connections with each other (and with me!) through our shared love of reading. The conversations we have had about the books have been thoughtful, hilarious, and sometimes even a little mind-blowing.

Your support can open new worlds for my students by providing fresh book options for our book groups.

I am hoping to add three new titles to our library to keep their excitement going and, in particular, spark their curiosity about mystery books. Who does not love a good whodunit, right? With your support, my students can continue developing their reading skills while becoming amateur detectives, piecing together clues, and solving mysteries—all while strengthening their love for reading. Every book we add opens up a new world for them, and I can’t wait to see where our next book adventure takes us!
