My Project
My students come to school every day for learning, fun, and to feel safe. It’s difficult to concentrate when your stomach is grumbling and many times unfortunately this is the case. I purchase what I can but it can get very expensive to provide snacks for the entire class every day. I am requesting help in providing snacks and reusable water bottles for my students during their state testing.
Fueled bodies help to fuel the mind.
Some of my students depend on what they get to eat when they are in school. They have food insecurity and it shows in their energy levels and the way in which they look for extra food whenever it is offered. I plan to give these snacks to help keep my students well-fed and energized to work and perform their best during state testing and other times during the school day.
Extra help in purchasing snacks is always welcomed as well as helping them stay hydrated during the school day. The water fountain filters are not always reliable and the little ones are always putting their mouths on the fountain to get a drink. This is certainly a way to spread germs! The water bottles will ensure they have a safer supply of water, keep them hydrated, and keep them from having to use the school fountain.
