Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how resilient, curious, and creative my 10th-grade students are. Despite the challenges they may face outside of school, they bring a unique energy to the classroom, each with their own perspective and story. What makes them special is their diversity, not just in terms of culture and language, but also in their experiences and the way they approach learning. The crackers, candy, and Gatorade will help keep my students energized and focused throughout the day, ensuring they have the fuel they need to stay engaged, especially during longer lessons or assessments.

My main goals for this project are to enhance students’ engagement and to foster a sense of belonging in the classroom.

I want them to feel safe, encouraged, and motivated to take risks with their learning.

These students have immense potential, and they deserve a learning environment that not only supports their academic growth but also acknowledges and celebrates who they are.
