Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, resilient, and full of potential, but many face challenges that impact their ability to focus and succeed in school—hunger being one of the biggest. Too often, students come to my office asking for a quick snack because they haven’t eaten enough that day. When students are hungry, it’s difficult for them to concentrate, retain information, and stay engaged in class.

By providing nutritious snacks, I can help ensure they have the energy they need to stay focused and motivated.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where students don’t have to worry about where their next snack will come from. These snacks will not only fuel their bodies but also show them that they are cared for and supported. Every student deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive, and sometimes, a small snack can make all the difference.
