Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The part of my job that is most important to me is the students that for sure, however, on many occasions I hear my stomach hurts and/or I have a headache. When speaking with students I learn they haven't eaten anything, they skipped breakfast, lunch line is to long and sometimes there isn't any food in the house.

Fuel for thought, a quick lunch of soup, cups of noodles, or a snack to help the student return to class more focused and ready to learn.

If this what it takes to make the day easier then why not.

The students I work with come from a variety home situations and back grounds and if this one thing can make a small difference then I feel I helped. I was that student when I was in school I had a teacher that I will never forget that gave me a soda and some chips and to this day I know she made a difference, she cared. I wonder sometimes if it wasn't for simple moment of time where would I be. Fuel for thought, it made me who I am today, and I hope with a quick lunch or snack I can make a difference to.
