This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember taking an art class in high school and not having the proper tools to get the project done, well you can help my students get all the proper tools they need.

I have 130 ceramics students and 70 3D Design students that have come into my room excited to create art from the first day of school.

However they have been disappointed having to share a minimum amount of tools to get their work done. My students are in Southern California and look forward to the break in their day that ceramics / 3d design gives them. Because of this they are eager, willing and most important excited for art! My students are often left waiting and patiently sharing the tools that we do have, but could get so much more done without loosing momentum or enthusiasm for the project if we had more tools. chevron

My Project

I am asking for wire tools, needle tools, potters tool sets for both my ceramics students and 3D design class for their clay projects for both hand building and throwing on the wheel. With more tool sets my students will be able to get more work done as they will not have to wait for a tool another student is using. This also keeps them excited and enthusiastic. I am also asking for a potters wheel to replace a no longer functioning wheel as this is their favorite part of ceramics. The tools can also be used for the wheel. I am also asking for an iPad that I can allow students to use to look up ideas and reference images for all the projects through out the school year. My students will use these tools all school year for slab projects, coil pots, potters wheel mugs, bowls, etc. to create self portrait busts and many more projects!

With your donation my students will be creating amazing art projects through out the school year, coil pots, slab boxes, self portrait bust, potters wheel projects such as bowls and mugs.

My students are willing and eager to learn all about ceramics and 3d design and will greatly appreciate receiving all of these new tools!!!
