Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students come from low-income families so they receive free breakfast and lunch. Some of my students' only meals of the day are what they get at school, which means that they may likely be hungry sometime during school which may impede their learning.

Learning Math can be challenging so having healthy snacks will help them perform on a higher level if they are fueled up with healthy snacks at least once in a day.

Also having these healthy snacks available in the class will mean that hunger pangs can be assuaged anytime during the school period. These snacks will also be used as incentives to spur students to greater levels of achievement within the class.
