My Project

This month, I will be welcoming a brand-new class of kindergarteners! These students have been looking forward to this date for a long time. Students will be making new friends, starting new routines, learning new concepts, and exploring a very new environment. These students are going to need fuel to keep their bodies nourished and their bodies fueled throughout all their new experiences.

In full day kindergarten, we take a morning and an afternoon snack break to support learning and energy levels.

Snacks are traditionally provided by the student’s family, but not every family can afford to send snacks for their student. As a teacher, I don’t want any of my students to go hungry. Funding this project will help me ensure all of my students have the nourishment they need to keep learning and having fun.

The items in this project are snacks that are popular with our students. Items like fruit snacks, crackers, and applesauce help keep students focused and stay fresh for long periods of time.

Students in our school district face numerous economic challenges. Our school district has one of the highest rates of homelessness in the state. Despite these challenges, our students always come to school full of hope and ready to work. Your generous support will go to a class of very deserving students!
