My Project

As a teacher in any high school, attendance is utterly important. In a transfer high school, where students are mainly at-risk and coming to us with high academic and social-emotional needs, attendance is at a premium. More so, consistent attendance to morning classes can be evening more challenging.

Having healthful, available foods gives my students the stability and safety they thrive for--knowing their basic needs will be met puts their minds at ease so they can focus on academics.

By having something on hand for my students, I can assure that they have a full stomach so they arent feeling hungry, tired, sluggish or worried about when they will have a healthy meal.

Attendance to my morning classes will be greater knowing I can give them something nutritious while they are learning.
