My Project

Our school is a transformative justice-oriented school that empowers students to be agents of positive change for themselves and in their communities. Our goal is to provide snacks and hot chocolate to nourish both the mind and spirit of the student. By providing these daily refreshments, we're not just hoping to meet basic needs, we're seeking to create moments of community care and connection that reflect our school's commitment to justice and mutual support.

Our school embodies the belief that true education encompasses more than just academic learning, especially for young minds.

Just as activist James Baldwin advocated for transformation through understanding and compassion, our school creates spaces where students can flourish in an environment of collective care and attention. The simple act of sharing snacks becomes a daily practice in community building and promotion of well-being for many of our students who largely come from historically underserved communities in our city.

With your support, we can sustain this initiative that brings students together, maintains their focus throughout the day, and reinforces our schools's mission of fostering both academic excellence and student well-being. These moments of care create a daily touchpoint where students can feel seen, supported, and valued while modeling the kind of caring, justice-oriented community we strive to build together.
