Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m an ESOL/ELA teacher at a Title I school in a low-income community, where many of my amazing students face challenges outside of school. As English language learners (ELL), they’re working hard every day to build their language skills and succeed academically. But for some, access to healthy food is a struggle, and that can make it tough to stay focused in class.

I’m hoping to provide healthy snacks throughout the day to help keep their energy up and their minds sharp.

Simple snacks like granola bars, and whole grains can make a world of difference—they’ll help my ELL students stay engaged, feel better, and be ready to learn. Plus, having healthy snacks available shows them that someone cares about their well-being, which makes the classroom a more positive and supportive place to be.

Your support would mean the world to us! With your help, I can make sure my students have what they need to focus on learning and growing, instead of worrying about being hungry. Thanks for considering our project and for helping us create a healthier, happier classroom!
