Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade science at an Equity Focus School. My students come to class every day with a thirst for knowledge and a curiosity that drives our science learning. However, many of them face the challenge of learning on an empty stomach. Hunger can be a significant distraction, hindering their ability to concentrate and engage fully in our science explorations. By providing my students with granola bars, pop tarts, fruit leather, crackers, and pretzels in a community pantry, I can assuage their hunger.

To ensure my students can focus on learning and not their growling stomachs, I am requesting donations for a variety of nutritious snacks.

By providing these essential brain foods, my students will be better equipped to participate actively and achieve their best.

Your generous donation will provide my students with the nutrition they need to stay focused and energized throughout the school day. By offering a variety of healthy and delicious snacks, we can create an environment where every student can thrive academically without the distraction of hunger.
