Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school and all students are eligible for free lunch.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds.

They come from bilingual homes and need more practice in phonemic awareness and phonics to learn essential skills needed for reading. As part of our daily routine, we have Universal Access Time. During this time, students are engaged in activities that help improve their reading and writing skills. My students enjoy this time and look forward to it every day.

My Project

The two Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift cards would allow me to purchase supplemental resources that are made by teachers for my first grade students. I will be able to browse through a large quantity of resources to meet my students' needs. I will be able to purchase materials that students can work on digitally and also print documents for students to use in class or at home. These materials will help students working below grade level, as well as enrich students who are working at or above grade level. These resources will support my students' learning in language arts, math, science, and English language development, even social emotional learning. I know I'll be able to use these TPT resources over and over again.
