From the Darkness of Night to Enlightenment of Experience
My students need 40 copies of "Night" by Elie Wiesel. This will allow my students to begin our second unit in World Literature discussing human rights around the world.

My Students
My students are eager and excited to learn. They have an urgent thirst for knowledge, yet they lack the resources necessary to succeed. My students' eyes will be open to a vast number of experiences taking place throughout the world, but only if they are able to have a book in front of them.
My students are energetic, passionate, and caring kids who genuinely enjoy learning.
They keep me on my toes and are constantly asking tough questions. My kids' grit and tenacity inspires me each and every day, and I hope to provide them with the tools necessary to become successful inside my classroom and out.
My Project
A class set of "Night" would allow my students to fully engage with the rich text and experience of Elie Wiesel. By getting knee deep in Wiesel's memoir, my students will be able to understand perspective and just how human rights issues impact every corner of the world.
A class set of "Night" will allow me to provide my students with first hand experiences reading, analyzing, and annotating text.
Without enough books, it will be difficult for my students, particularly those needing differentiated instruction, to fully comprehend and synthesize the novel and the larger picture of the unit
