My Project

My fifth graders are an incredible group of curious, hardworking learners who thrive when given choices and movement. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique strengths and perspectives to our classroom community. I love their resilience, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning—even when faced with challenges.

However, our traditional desks and chairs limit their ability to move, collaborate, and focus.

I’m requesting a variety of flexible seating options—kitchen tables with chairs, cozy carpets, bar stools, and floor seats like bean bags and cushions—to create an environment where every student feels comfortable and supported.

With these options, students will have the freedom to choose seating that meets their needs—whether it’s gathering around a table for group work, sitting comfortably on the carpet for reading, or using bar stools for independent tasks. This flexibility encourages collaboration, increases focus, and empowers students to take ownership of their learning.

My goal is to transform our classroom into a welcoming, student-centered space that meets their physical and emotional needs while fostering a love of learning. Your support will help make this vision a reality!
