My Project

The primary goals for this project are to expand access to diverse reading materials to engage all learners, foster a love of reading through exciting, age-appropriate books, support creativity and critical thinking with graphic novels, nonfiction, and drawing books, engage reluctant readers by offering fun and accessible books, and to build a stronger classroom community with books that inspire and motivate all students.

The specific genres of books in this project will make a big difference in my students' learning by encouraging a love for learning and expanding their knowledge through engaging, easily accessible reading material.

The graphic novels will engage reluctant readers and help them develop reading comprehension skills in a visually appealing format. They’ll encourage storytelling and enhance understanding through images, making reading more accessible and fun. The nonfiction chapter books will allow students to explore real-world topics, build their knowledge across subjects, and develop critical thinking skills. They’ll help students make connections between what they’re learning in the classroom and the world around them. The drawing books inspire creativity and self-expression, allowing students to visualize concepts and ideas hands-on. They also enhance fine motor skills and boost confidence, especially for students who might struggle with traditional forms of learning.

I love how curious and eager my students are to explore the world around them. They come to class with a spark of excitement and a thirst for knowledge, and it's truly inspiring to see their growth each day. What makes them unique is their creativity and willingness to dive into new challenges, whether it's discovering new ideas through books or expressing themselves through art.

Overall, the project materials will engage different learning styles, motivate students, and help them grow both academically and creatively.
