My Project

I am going into my seventh year of teaching. I have seen students come in with little to no school supplies at the beginning of the year and I have seen students come in with some supplies and be completely out by Christmas break! I have had to buy school supplies for some of my students numerous times and I will do it again and again to make them feel special. I teach first grade! I love what I do! First grade is very serious, they have to learn quite a lot. What students learn in first grade will set them straight for their upcoming school years.

First graders have a lot to learn so they should not have to worry about having the right materials.

We were given a safe school snack list of goodies to buy for snack time. This project will ensure that we get a head start. The materials will be used in three first grade classrooms. The binders will be used to store all of the first grade learning essentials such as hundredths charts, letter tracing, sight word sheets and more! The extra index cards will come in handy for sight words and updating our word walls. Oftentimes students are sent home with words to study so this project will help out with that. Throughout the school year materials get used up and lost. This project will ensure that we have back up! Thank you in advance!
