Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 5th graders, seniors of the school. However, their reading levels range from kindergarten to 3rd grade. In spite of their learning disabilities, they come to class daily with a positive attitude ready to learn.

My students are super heroes, ready to take on challenges, despite the odds stacked against them.

Our classroom library is composed of chapter books geared towards 4th-6th grade readers. Some do a good job of decoding, but have a difficult time comprehending the text. Majority of the students are hands on and visual learners, but our math manipulatives are very limited. These students have great potential and if given the right tools can soar academically.

My Project

Now more than ever more and more classrooms are going digital. Even though most of the work is now being shared via email, there is still a need for teachers and students to print their work. Printers are a fundamental part of the ICT classroom and provide a practical means for both teacher and students to retain hard copies of coursework and projects created during a lesson.

Imagine a student spending hours on that well crafted report or project and the pride experienced when seeing their hard work in printed form.

It gives teachers great pride to see students excited to show their parents their work hung up in the classroom. Please help me bring that joy to my students.
