Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is amazing. The staff treats students like their own, and the students are eager to learn. However, it is a Title I school where 85% of our students get free breakfast and lunch. Most of our scholars have limited resources and cannot afford school uniforms or even clean clothes to wear to school. A few of our students are living in the shelter this winter, and their family struggles to get by. I am requesting a washer-dryer combo to foster a sense of community and self-esteem for students who need clean clothes to wear in school.

We are asking for your generosity to supply this basic service we often take for granted.

With your help, we can purchase a washer and dryer combo unit with the peripherals needed to operate it in our school.

Students who feel supported and cared for are more likely to feel comfortable and engaged in the classroom, and providing access to basic necessities like clean clothes can help demonstrate that the school values their well-being and wants them to succeed. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Please help us!
