Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Seventh grade is a difficult transition year for teens. Our 7th graders have grown so much this year. They have worked hard to master skills in all their subjects. As we close out the year, we want to give them opportunities to celebrate their successes and have fun.
Spending time outside provides learning opportunities that support learning in the classroom.
Field day is more than just a day of games outside the classroom. Working in teams, our students will compete in egg relays, ring toss, tug-o-war, Jenga relay and other games and activities. These activities gives them opportunities to work cooperatively, compete in friendly competition, root on their peers, and demonstrate school spirit.
Cooperative and competitive games build character and strengthen their resilience. In the classroom, those skills can be applied when they encounter difficult tasks. Give my students a chance experience successes inside and outside the classroom.
