My Students

The students in my class are bilingual and French language learners.

My classroom is a French immersion classroom, where students receive all of their instruction in French. Our school is dedicated to providing a literacy and content-rich curriculum in both languages.

My Project

In our classroom, students are currently working on becoming super readers who approach French literacy with greater independence and use strategies to read with more accuracy, fluency, and comprehension. We currently do not have enough tables and storage to accommodate small group work to listen to modeled reading with audio books. With additional storage organizers, students will be able to access literacy materials in an organized and efficient manner. This will be very helpful during small reading groups, independent reading time, and center activities.

Your donations will allow me to create a more organized and complete literacy area, and provide students with opportunities to properly store their books and materials, as well as listen and follow along to the books we read together in class.
