My Project

I teach in a Pre-K classroom that had a TV replace the projector and projector screen. Much like a projector, I am "tied" to my computer to run the lessons. I cannot move my computer around the room, and I am constantly having to go back and forth from the computer to the front of the classroom to teach.

This Samsung tablet will allow me to stay at the front of the classroom while also having the freedom to walk around the room to help students as needed.

I will even be able to let the students interact with the tablet while the other students watch on our TV. The excitement of getting to use the tablet will promote student engagement. This increase in engagement will provide a knowledge base on which all future learning will build.

The table will also help TREMENDOUSLY with proper letter and number formation. It will allow me to show the students the correct way to write a letter or number, all at the same time. When the TV was mounted on the wall, it took away the only whiteboard I had. Therefore, letter and number instruction has to be one-on-one or in a small group setting. This takes up a large portion of the instructional time that we could be using to learn even more!
