My Students

Do you remember the first time you were so close to finishing a project, but just couldn't because your body wouldn't move? Well, my students are faced with that frustration everyday, as they are so close to completing a task except there disabilities prevent them from moving there arms and legs.

My students are progressive learners and would love the the good fortune to access technology.

I want my students to have multiple opportunities to increase their engagement in the curriculum and enhance their learning. I want them to be able to personalize their learning experiences to fit their individual needs when leaving the high school environment.

My Project

The requested two mice devices will be used by my students and myself in the classroom to gain a better understanding of overcoming physical challenges while adapting better technology to become successful. The knowledge that the students, and I garner from these devices will help us gain understanding and practice perseverance, which is a crucial step to becoming successful within life. We will also use the devices to research, and review, which technologies we would like to use when living independently after school. After reviewing several technologies we will decide which ones would be useful to each students diagnosis and we can further educate the school community as a whole. By educating our community about independence with a disability, we can help to build bridges of understanding and a culture of empathy.
