This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love of reading is something that makes me smile! I have watch them devore the books we have read so far. We just finished a book and they said what book is next?!

I need to provide a book that will engage and excite them and Freak the Mighty is just that book.

They will learn life lessons from two unlikely characters and discover that disabilities are not to be feared but praised! My students are really excited about learning. Being back in the classroom and having an actual copy in their hands has been a blessing, since they have had so much computer time in the past 2 year.
