My Students

Integration of technology into classrooms is an effective way for teachers to reach all the many different learning styles in their diverse classrooms. My students are no exception. I am hoping that by being able to see the results of their coding skills that they will be able to better understand the many reaches coding has to offer them.

My students come from low income families and many of them will be the first in their family with the possibility to attend college.

I am hoping that many of them will be inspired to go into fields of math or technology with the resources given to create such imaginative and original productions.

My Project

LEGO mindstorm engages and challenges students to practice STEAM and robotics skills in a “near real world” environment, preparing them for college and a career in the technology infused world. This is a hands-on,cross-curricular STEAM solution that combines LEGO elements, classroom-friendly software, and standards-aligned lessons to spark creative confidence and critical thinking. This pack tackles subjects like engineering, coding, and physics with intuitive guides and smart bricks and puts real-life STEAM topics right at students’ fingertips.

The Lego mindstorm builds will help incorporate collaborative STEAM activities with robotics and technology, giving students memorable, real-world learning experiences.

Schools that provide classes on coding serve an important social need, giving students the tools they will need to get jobs in the digital economy.
