This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Your generous donation of fraction tiles and classroom posters will be instrumental in transforming our classroom into a dynamic learning environment where students can master the concept of fractions through hands-on activities and interactive lessons.

The fraction tiles and math posters will greatly benefit our class by providing hands-on learning opportunities.

They will engage students with fractions tangibly, allowing them to visualize and manipulate parts of a whole, which enhances their understanding and retention. Additionally, these tiles will be invaluable for interactive lessons. With their help, we can explore fraction equivalence, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in a fun and engaging manner. The fraction tiles will also enhance collaborative activities, facilitating group work and peer teaching, which fosters collaboration and communication skills as students solve fraction problems together.

Having fraction tiles will allow me to differentiate instruction effectively. They will be instrumental in catering to diverse learning styles and paces, providing support for students who need extra help, and offering challenging activities for those ready to advance. Additionally, the fraction tiles can be used for real-world applications. Students will use them to solve practical problems, making math relevant and enhancing their problem-solving skills.
