Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is a fun, safe, and engaging space for students to learn. As teachers, we want the students to feel comfortable throughout the day for them to produce their best work. Our classroom has structure and routine, which we create so the students can know what to expect. We want to ensure every child in our room is in a safe and clean space.

Our school is a Title I school in Manhattan serving children grades Pre-K to 5th grade.

The student body is 97% of children of minority backgrounds, majority low-income, and a high population of ELLs/special education students. My class is a 4th grade ICT classroom with Gen Ed, SpEd, and ENL students!

My Project

Please help us get personal protective gear for our fourth graders! We need to support our students by ensuring that no student goes without PPE while in school. Not every family can provide the students with the PPE necessary to be ready for going back to school.

We want to make sure that each student has what they need to protect themselves, their classmates, their teachers, and their families.

This year will be full of uncertainty, however, we want the students to feel they are safe while in school to focus on learning.
