This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my classroom continue to make tremendous progress in their reading, writing, and math goals. We have lucky enough to receive funding for a small group table for students to meet in small groups, and we are asking for stools to help make our learning possible! Recently, we have been pulling our own chairs across the classroom during small group time, but this is no longer a feasible option for us. Please allow us to have chairs that are only used at our small group table, so that we may be comfortable and learn in style!

We are at the midway point of the 2023-2024 school year, and that means that our learning is more important than ever!

Since the goal for this year was to meet students where they are, we have spent a majority of our time using fantastic educational programs like iReady and Starfall to close the gaps in our learning. However, the headphones that we are using in the classroom are much older than the resources in our room, and often, our headphones stop working when we are using them, which leads to awkward moments of loud music in our otherwise quiet and calm classroom environment. Allowing us to buy new headphones will ensure that everyone can continue working in an environment that is suitable for them. Thank you in advance for your support of our classroom!
