My Students

I work with 32 amazing fourth grade students. Half of my students have special needs, and half of them are general education students. In our school fifty four percent of the students receive free or reduced meals.

My students are great mathematicians, readers, and writers who love to engage in scientific inquiries and are curious about the world around them.

They also love to engage in art projects and share what they learned by creating amazing projects. Everyday they come full or energy and prepared for a new learning adventure.

My Project

My students need a class subscription to Scholastic News (grade 4 edition). This magazine connects current events to the fourth grade curriculum while helping young people practice their reading and analytical skills. It is important to have enough copies in my class so all my students can take one home and read them during class. My fourth graders are growing up in a world in which being able to read and analyze the news is an essential skill.Having these magazines will allow me to foster my students' curiosity and hunger to learn more about what is going on around them.
