Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is a fun, safe, and engaging space for students to learn. As teachers, we want the students to feel comfortable throughout the day for them to produce their best work. Our classroom has structure and routine, which we create so the students can know what to expect. We always do our best to have supplies ready to use so no child has to worry about pencils or paper.

Our school is a Title I school in Manhattan serving children grades Pre-K to 5th grade.

The student body is 97% children of minority background, majority low-income, and a high population of ELLs/special education students. My class is a 4th grade ICT classroom with Gen Ed, SpEd and ENL students!

My Project

This project will make a huge difference in providing our future fourth graders with the supplies they will need to thrive in the classroom. We are aware that many families have struggled greatly in our community during this quarantine. We as teachers also have felt this as well. We need your help to get stocked up, and provide these kids with a supplied and stress-free classroom. With all the uncertainty these kids have felt in the world, we want them to feel comforted in that they have school supplies ready for them with us.
