Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my second year teaching in the New York City public schools and I am looking to enhance my library to books that the students will enjoy reading.

Most of my books are hand-me- down books.

They are ripped, old, and unfortunately not of interest to many of my students. I am hoping to continue working to revamp my classroom library to provide a love of reading for my students. We have been discussing what books I can provide to help them enjoy and want to read. We discussed how many movies come from books. Thus, fairytales are the first books I would like to start with to help stock my library.

With your help, I am hoping to stock my library with amazing books that will help my students find the love and joy in reading. My goal for the students is to create a life long love of reading.
