My Project

This project will help me build a collection of foundational tools for Special Education learners in grades k-2. Each item of this project focuses on different foundational strategies and tools for students to explore. Whether it is working on sight word recognition, CVC words, or reading words with different vowel patterns, all students will have hands-on experience. Students will also work through basic math concepts in base ten skill development.

Communication is a key part of learning.

Some of my students need extra support to communicate their needs and motivation to continue trying even when the learning is difficult. I will use the communication cards to help prompt students to communicate their needs and also use the snack to motivate my small groups to complete tasks with the hands-on learning materials.
