My Project
We are thrilled to present our expanded project, "Fostering Warmth, Care, and Hunger Relief: Kindergarten Companions." In our kindergarten classroom, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that goes beyond education to address the emotional and physical needs of our young learners.
We aim to provide each kindergarten student with a small stuffed animal dog, symbolizing companionship, warmth, and care.
These adorable plush dogs will serve as comforting buddies, fostering a sense of security and emotional well-being among our children. Additionally, we plan to engage the students in a creative activity by crafting unique collars for their furry friends using colorful beads. Lastly, we will use the paper to make signs and "beds" for our new furry friends. In our classroom community, we have students that struggle financially and might never have the opportunity to care for a real pet. We hope this project gives the students an experience they won't forget. The stamps will be used to send "persuasive" letters in the mail to their parents. The snacks on the list will be kept in the classroom for the students who don't bring snack to school and are hungry.
Objectives:
1. Warmth: Introduce cuddly stuffed animal dogs to provide comfort and warmth, particularly for those facing challenging circumstances at home.
2. Care: Encourage a sense of responsibility and empathy as students create personalized collars for their stuffed dogs, fostering a caring and inclusive classroom community.
3. Hunger Relief: We will be incorporating discussions about sharing, community support, and gratitude during the creative process.
