My Project

My 3rd grade students love music and will greatly benefit from learning to read music and play an instrument at this age.

I know that suburban schools introduce the recorder in elementary school and I believe that my students need the same exposure to begin their journey to music appreciation in order to obtain a well rounded primary, public school education.

I believe that learning to play an instrument will help them focus and can provide stress relief for the children. It will also build confidence, improve their memory, and patience as well as give them an outlet for their creativity. One of the best reasons to teach them how to play an instrument and read music is that they will be proud of themselves.
