Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is designed to provide our Spanish-speaking students with access to a variety of high-quality Spanish books that they can borrow from the library. The goal is to support their daily reading log assignments by giving them engaging, age-appropriate books in their native language. Each night, students will take a book home, allowing them to practice reading, enhance their language skills, and reflect on their progress in both Spanish and English. These books are not only crucial for strengthening their literacy skills but also help to nurture a love for reading by providing rich, culturally relevant content that students can connect with. By offering these resources, we aim to empower our bilingual learners with the tools they need to become confident, passionate readers in both languages.
