My Students

VHHS is a small, tight-knit, rural community in South Dakota. Our local school is small, averaging class sizes of about 25-30 students. The community is small consisting of 700 and 300 people respectively, many of which come from rural and low income backgrounds. These students go to school, compete in many activities, and many work jobs as well. They are hard working kids who take time out of their busy schedules to workout and compete in wrestling.

In the past year, we have challenged our athletes by offering new sports such as softball and wrestling and have seen substantial growth and success in those new areas.

We hope to continue seeing growth by developing these programs and providing our athletes with the tools to have continued success.

My Project

As a new wrestling program we want to lay the foundation of success and dedication for our future wrestlers. We understand that becoming a successful program takes patience and dedication. As the coach, I want to provide my athletes with as many tools as I can to promote athletic growth and match success. We are requesting jump ropes, body fat analyzer, and medicine balls which will allow us to focus on our aerobic and anaerobic exercises in an effort to improve our match endurance and performance.

Building a successful program takes a village and we would not be where we are today without the help of generous donors.

We hope that you consider providing us the funds to stock our wrestling room with the tools needed for success. Our athletes will utilize these tools daily during practice and in the off-season for workouts. We hope to represent you at the local and state level for your support this season!
