My Project

Having classroom sets of high-interest books will enable each student to have a book to enjoy. We have read both James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and my kids have enjoyed these books by Roald Dahl tremendously. We would love to continue to read more of Roal Dahls' books as they foster my students' creativity and imagination. We have used these novels to help with comprehension skills and we have also learned to dive deep into themes of both books.

These books will be used for many years to come and help numerous students continue to develop and maintain their love of reading!

Both Matilda and The BFG are high-interest books and that's what my students need to foster their love of reading. Reading books of the same genre and author eliminates the need for buy-in and lets them get straight to reading with a chair to sit and read as a whole group.
