Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of students in a Family and Consumer Science classroom where collaboration and creativity are at the heart of everything we do. My students work together on hands-on group projects that prepare them for real-world problem solving, teamwork, and innovation. However, our current classroom setup isn’t meeting their needs.

The tables we use are mismatched, chipped, and some are even broken, creating an unstable and uninspiring workspace.

Our chairs are no better—many are wobbly or broken, making it difficult for students to focus and stay comfortable during lessons.

The new mobile training tables and stackable chairs will transform our classroom into a flexible and functional learning space. The durable, matching tables will provide stable surfaces for group activities, while the stackable chairs will make it easy to rearrange seating for different learning formats. This setup will foster creativity, improve collaboration, and create an environment where my students can thrive.

My goal for this project is to create a classroom where every student feels inspired, supported, and excited to learn. My students are special because of their resilience, creativity, and willingness to tackle new challenges. They deserve a learning space that reflects their potential and supports their growth. With your help, we can create a classroom that empowers these future leaders to succeed.
