My Project

I am fortunate to teach a group of bright, energetic young women at an all-girls public school in Brooklyn. My students are driven and eager to learn, but like many adolescents, they sometimes struggle with focus, stress, and mental well-being.

I love their curiosity and resilience, and I want to provide them with the tools they need to thrive in the classroom.

One of our favorite ways to learn is through educational games like Mission US, which requires students to use headphones for an immersive experience. Unfortunately, many of our headphones are damaged or broken, making it hard for students to participate fully. The quality headphones and splitters in this project will allow them to collaborate on these activities and other multimedia lessons without distractions. Labels will help students take responsibility for their materials.

Additionally, kick bands will give students an outlet for their extra energy, allowing them to fidget without disrupting the class. Brain teasers and puzzles will provide mental breaks and early-finisher activities, helping students manage stress and stay sharp. Jolly Ranchers will offer a quick pick-me-up for when their energy dips.

My goal is to create an environment where my students can focus, collaborate, and manage their mental wellness. These resources will make a big difference in their ability to stay engaged, comfortable, and ready to learn.
