My Project

We currently have a black and white printer in the classroom. If students want their projects to have color, they would use crayons, colored pencils, or paint to decorate. I want to bring my students into the 21st century and bridge the digital divide by allowing them to have access to a color printer at school. With a color printer, students will be able to incorporate color pictures, diagrams, and charts into their projects.

As a teacher, I find students are more engaged when materials are printed in color.

As an adult, I am a visual learner and find that I learn better when things are presented and outlined in color. Using a color printer in the classroom for student assignments will improve their retention, increase engagement, encourage creativity and curiosity. Being able to print my assignments in color, the work will not feel boring and repetitive but visually appealing and interesting. The students and I will both benefit from having a color printer in our classroom. My students will be able to be the creative geniuses I know they are.
