This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Speech-Language Pathologist working with over 50 students across different schools, many of whom are from low-income families, I am deeply committed to helping each child achieve their full potential. The students I serve often face significant barriers to accessing the resources and support they need to succeed. Unfortunately, our special education program does not receive many resources, making it difficult to provide individualized, effective therapy.The materials I am requesting—such as articulation cards and language development tools—are essential to meeting the diverse needs of my students.

These resources will be used to target specific communication goals, such as improving articulation, building vocabulary, developing sentence structure, and enhancing social communication skills.

With the ability to personalize therapy plans based on each student’s needs, I can ensure they receive the tailored support they deserve. These materials are not just helpful—they are crucial in creating an engaging, dynamic learning environment that fosters growth and progress in speech and language development.

By providing these resources, you will help give every child the opportunity to build the communication skills necessary for a brighter future.
