Help me give my students a new reading nook! As a reading specialist in a 6-8 building, my students do not always have reading material that is interesting and at their level - please help me provide it!
I am a reading specialist at a 6-8 building, working with children whose reading levels range from 2nd-4th grade. Our building has an amazing library, but many books are above my students' ability. They appreciate graphic novels, but those are often out. My hope is to create a section of my room where I can provide my students with chapter books at their level. Ultimately, I'd to expand this project and include seating, but for now, the books are most important. If I can put books into the hands of my students and show them that they can be successful, I fully believe we can foster a love of reading in each of them.
