My Students

We are a Title I Magnet and STEAM prep school located in Watts, CA. My students come from diverse backgrounds and are filled with creativity and curiosity.

I strive to create an environment with active and engaging learning experiences that fosters students' passion for learning.

My students are self-motivated and exciting scholars that are ready to tackle the future!

My Project

My students have been working extremely hard to become fluent readers. Children learn best when they are interested and invested in their learning!

These sets of books will help me create literature circles in which students will have an opportunity to experience reading in a different way.

Through literature circles, students will work in small groups to discuss a book. The students will interpret, analyze, share ideas, ask questions, and make connections to text that is meaningful and culturally relevant.

Help me give my students the books they need to improve their reading fluency, accuracy, and comprehension. This will be a great addition to our classroom!
