Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all unique in their own way. What makes them special is that they are eager to learn. They are bilingual students that have left their country and family for a shot at a better life and this is why I strive to give them the best and hope you can help me do the same.

My Project

Students will use these books in the classroom. It will help them grow as readers and have a love for reading. Reading is essential and becoming long life learners require building their reading comprehension and reading stamina. These books will be used for independent reading time and at times for modeling skills. Students will be able to answer questions using text base evidence, make inferences and identify themes with these culturally responsive texts.

My students will develop reading comprehension by making connection to themselves and the outside world through these materials.
