My Project

This project is designed to ignite a passion for reading among middle school students who currently show little interest in literature. By offering essential support, we can help rekindle their enthusiasm for reading, enhance their fluency, and improve their comprehension skills. This renewed engagement will significantly boost their overall reading abilities. My hope is that this initiative inspires students to explore books that resonate with their interests.

Empowering students to choose their own books from a vibrant classroom library will keep them engaged, with new, age-appropriate titles available in baskets organized by class period for easy access during independent reading time.

To keep track of their progress, we will use a Google Form to monitor the pages they read in chapter books. Upon finishing a book, students will complete a graphic organizer to demonstrate their understanding, giving them a sense of achievement and motivating them to continue their reading journey. Together, we can foster a lifelong love of reading among our students!
