Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a counselor that works with Foster Youth and Homeless students in the East Los Angeles area. Teens are often overlooked during Christmas as Toy drives often target younger children.

I want to provide each student on my caseload at with something special that they can use with their technology and with their families.

Students can use headphones for classroom learning but also at home to complete their homework/assignments. Students can use their headphones to listen to music, meditations, audio books and to block out disruptions and complete their assignments.

In addition students can also use a board game to connect with their families during the holiday season. Board games can help them increase their social skills.
