My Project

My students are engaged and eager to learn. They are curious and constantly bring up new wonders.

My class is made up of students from a variety of cultures and socio-economic backgrounds yet they all have one thing in common.

They have been identified as academically gifted and talented. 3rd grade is the first year they can qualify to be in a gifted classroom. They are avid readers and go through the classroom library rapidly. My students and I talk and meet as readers so that I am current on what they are reading as well. I would love to bring new literature to my students that will peak their interests, and challenge them at the same time. My students love to read and I want to continue to foster a love for reading in them by having the greatest books!

My students love to read and are always challenging each other to read the latest and greatest books! They fly through books and always get excited about new ones. The books from the South Carolina Children's Award nominations will bring recently published titles to the classrooms.

Students are eager to read these books so they can cast their own votes for the winner of the Book Award. The students will also be able to discuss these books with their peers.

We are also looking for read-aloud books to make our morning meetings more meaningful so students can relate to the topics we discuss.

The storage bins would help us organize our classroom.

We look forward to receiving these books in order to grow during our independent reading time.
